Long comment
The castle of Saint Mesmin at Saint André sur Sevre, is a medieval fortress of the fourteenth century to which an imposing 28 meter tower was added in the fifteenth century. Kitchens, vast rooms, chapel and latrines take you back to medieval life. The dry moat, drawbridge, archeries, canons and a walkway on battlements demonstrate the importance of this military fortress of the late Middle Ages. Daily entertainment with a medieval theme in July and August: workshops for children and adults, etc. ... Guided visits are available.
